All Deals¶
Manage all your sales deals in one place. Deals represent specific business opportunities with a value, timeline, and pipeline stage.
Deal List¶
View deals with:
- Deal number and title
- Customer or lead name
- Pipeline stage (with color indicator)
- Deal value
- Priority
- Assigned owner
- Expected close date
The list and the Pipeline board are two views of the same deals — switch between them with the Pipeline / List toggle at the top.
Filtering¶
- Scope — Open, Won, Lost, Deleted, or All deals (the board only shows Open; picking another scope drops you into the List view)
- Search — search by deal title or number
- Pipeline — pick which pipeline's deals to show
Creating a Deal¶
Deals can be created from three entry points, in order of how common they are:
From a Lead (recommended)¶
This is the main flow. See Converting a Lead to a Deal — the Convert to Deal dialog creates the deal (and a customer and contact if needed) and drops you on the deal detail page.
From an existing Customer¶
For repeat business from a customer already in your system:
- Open the customer from CRM > Customers
- Open the actions menu (⋯) and click Add Deal
- The deal form opens with the customer already selected
- Fill in the deal details and click Create Deal
Directly¶
For a deal that didn't come through a lead (walk-in, word of mouth, etc.):
- Go to CRM > Deals > All Deals (or the Pipeline view)
- Click + New Deal
- Enter deal details:
- Title (required) — e.g., "Office Interior Renovation"
- Customer (optional) — search and pick, or leave blank and link later
- Value (optional)
- Priority
- Expected close date (optional)
- Description (optional)
- Click Create Deal
The deal is placed at the first stage of your default pipeline. You can drag it through stages on the Pipeline view.
Deal Detail¶
Click a deal to open its detail — either in a side panel beside the list/board or as a full page, depending on your Detail view setting. Both show the same thing.
Header actions: Won, Lost, Reopen, Edit, and Delete, plus the stage chevron showing where the deal sits.
Tabs:
- Overview — value, probability, expected close date, owner, linked customer, source lead, and details
- Activity — calls, meetings, notes, and tasks logged on the deal
- Quotations — quotations raised for this deal
- Follow-ups — scheduled follow-ups for this deal
- History — the full timeline, including stage changes
Deal Status and Lifecycle¶
A deal moves through stages (Qualification → … → Final Review) while its status stays Open. The status is the outcome, set with the header buttons — not a stage:
| Status | Meaning | How you reach it |
|---|---|---|
| Open | Still in play, sitting in a stage on the board | Default |
| Won | Closed successfully | Won button |
| Lost | Didn't work out; records a lost reason | Lost button (with a reason) |
- Won deals can be converted to projects and leave the board
- Lost deals record the lost reason for future analysis
- Use Reopen to return a won/lost deal to Open
- The source lead remains — new deals can be created from the same lead later
Quotations¶
Quotations are created under deals:
- Open a deal
- Navigate to the quotations section
- Click + New Quotation
- Add line items, terms, and submit
See Quotations for details on the quotation workflow.
